USA BMX Grands Report – Haro

This past Thanksgiving weekend, the Haro crew headed to Tulsa, Oklahoma to close out the 2017 USA BMX season at the Grand Nationals.

Brooke Crain powered through rehab following an injury earlier this year and finished off the year back on form with a 3rd place at both the Race of Champions and Grands on Saturday night.  Brooke then slid into the National 2 ranking for the year behind World Champion Alise Post.  Brooke was also one of the few girls sending it over the Pro Section over the weekend much to the delight of the fans track-side.

Nic Long didn’t have his best Grands performance but did make the most of the trip by visiting a local high school and sharing a positive message to 1000+ teens on being motivated and disciplined and talking about how athletes overcome obstacles, stereotypes and body imaging to be successful. Cheers to Nic for making a difference.

Nic and Brooke also supported the Thanksgiving Dinner at the Iron Gate, preparing food at the Equality Center while out in Tulsa.  It’s great to see Pros leading both on the track and off.

On the Haro/ Promax side, wins at the Grands came from Madelynn Desantis, Chad Street, Braxton Elsen, Addison Finch and Gavin Freewalt, giving the team an outstanding 2nd overall for the year behind Answer Rennen. Madelynn Desantis was also crowned National Girls Cruiser Champion overall. Great finish to the year for the Team.
