What’s your age, hometown, and the number of years you’ve been racing?

I am 17 years old from Bakersfield, California and I have been racing for 10 years.

I currently ride for the US Junior Development Team, the team has really brought me to the next level and we have some great support from: USA Cycling, Rockstar Energy, Haro Bikes, Dale Holmes Racing, Mercedes Benz of San Diego, WD-40 BIKE, ODI Grips, Answer Racing, 100 Percent Goggles, Shimano, Box Components, Stealth Hubs, KMC Chain, Wheel Builder, and USA BMX.

What’s your local scene and who do you ride and train with?

My local track is Metro BMX, home of this year’s Fall Nationals. Locally, we have a pretty good scene, I usually ride with Jordan Miranda, Caleb Minthorn, Dahvin Childs, and Kellen Overall.

How’s your year going so far?

My year has been pretty great so far. I have made a lot of progress since the beginning of the year. I’ve gotten 5 wins in the USA BMX series and a Super X win heading into the end of the season with 2 races left and the Grands.

Who are your main competition?

You can’t never count anyone out of the 17-18 class, but if I had to pick I would say Bryce Batten and Triston Judd. Both are really great competitors, I’m looking forward to racing them at the Grands.

Where do you feel you have improved this season?

I believe I have improved both mentally and physically this year. My coach, Arielle Martin Verhaaren, has helped me a ton and we are seeing improvements each and every month.

How was the whole experience racing the World’s this year?

The World’s was an amazing experience to say the least. I went to a World’s when I was 12 in Birmingham, but I have never experienced a race at that elite level.  Regardless of the result, I learned a lot, and it gave me a lot of motivation, so down the road hopefully I’ll have another shot.

Goals for the rest of the year?

My Goals for the rest of the year are to secure my 7 wins for the NAG points and win the Grands. If I am able to make the NAG 5 Challenge this year, I’d like to win that as well.

Who are some of the riders you look up to?

I look up to a few riders, Connor Fields, Tory Nyhaug, and Maris Strombergs. They are all pretty cool dudes and make it happen on the bike.

Who are some of your favorite riders you like to follow on Social Media?

I think Anthony Dean is probably one of the coolest dudes I know on social media, I also enjoy seeing what Vic Behm is up to on occasion.
